Instruments Do Not Sound The Same - MIDI
Q: I own your Voyetra Software and playback comes nowhere near the assigned
instrument for any track. What do I need to do to "tune" my application
    for proper instrumental sound production?

A: The "Voyetra" software application, as with all MIDI Notation or MIDI
Sequencing, Recording Applications, comply with the General MIDI
convention. This means that Patch numbers 1-128 are pre-assigned to
the corresponding specific MIDI Instruments. The sound quality of the
instruments is entirely dependent upon your Sound Card, External MIDI
Module, Software Synthesizer or External MIDI Keyboard and not on the
    Voyetra application.

Unfortunately 'modern' Sound Cards no longer have a MIDI Synthesizer on
board as was the case a few years ago. You may have heard of Turtle Beach
Sound Cards with amazing MIDI Synthesizers on board. Instead, all current
Sound Cards (since the advent of compressed files MP3 etc.) use the
Microsoft Software Synthesizer "MS GS Wavetable SW Synth" or "MIDI Mapper"
with their known LATENCY. (Read article under "Latency")

As it relates to Patches (Instruments) things get easily complicated
(even for MIDI veterans) and they are not supported by our Support staff.
If interested in depth MIDI implementation, you might wish to do a Google
search for MIDI to learn more about MIDI concepts.
