What is the Ear Force AK-R8?

The AK-R8 combines two of our most exciting and popular products into one 
high-value, high-performance package. 

THE HEADSET: 
The first part of the AK-R8 package is the Ear Force HPA2 headset. 
The headset provides true 5.1 surround sound playback from a total of 
8 separate, high-performance audio transducers, for Front L/R, 
Surround L/R, Center and Subwoofer channels. 

THE USB SOUNDCARD: 
Plug the headset directly into the second half of the AK-R8 product, 
the Audio Advantage SRM USB audio interface, and you can play back full 
5.1 surround audio through one simple connection. 

The SRM connects to your Windows PC and provides all the power necessary to 
drive the HPA2 to satisfying levels without the need for a separate amplifier. 


The SRM also provides complete control over levels for all surround channels, 
audio surround effects, graphic EQ and a full complement of audio ins and
outs. 

Put it all together and you have the Ear Force AK-R8!

NOTE: 
The separately available Ear Force HPA2 headphone product is supplied 
with an inline amplifier/level control and DC power supply. It is also
supplied with a surround audio splitter cable, which allows simultaneous 
connection of the HPA2 headphones and a pre-existing 5.1 surround speaker 
setup (not included, optional, extra cost). These parts are not supplied 
with the Audio Advantage AK-R8 bundle.
