Recording - No worky with APC UPS (USB connection for battery monitor) 
Q:  Audio Advantage SRM that came with AK-R8 will not record while also
    playing sound. For example, if I am playing an MP3 on Winamp, it will not 
    record using Windows Sound Recorder. If I turn off Winamp and the light on
    the SRM stops blinking (i.e. no sound is playing), Sound Recorder picks up
    the mic just fine.

    Teamspeak doesn't work since it seems to constantly output silence when 
    no one is talking. Also, the in game voice for Aces High 2 does not work
    since, once again, it will not record while playing sound. I am currently
    running Windows XP Pro.

    I have my Logitech G7 Wireless Mouse and my APC UPS (USB connection for 
    battery monitor) plugged in at the same time.

A:  You can't have both your Logitech G7 Wireless Mouse and your APC UPS 
    (USB connection for battery monitor) plugged in at the same time. Removing
    either the mouse or the UPS should allow the SRM to work properly.
    The same holds true for a "Recoil Pad" etc.
