Volume and Mute control:
Q: Is there a trick to get the volume and mute button on the AA SRM?
I use headphones out and it does not change if I turn or push it in.

A: Press directly down on the volume control button to mute it. Slide it
'forward' to raise volume, 'backward' to lower volume.

Coaxial Digital Output Support?
Q: My speakers do not have an optical digital input. Please confirm that
the Audio Advantage has a coaxial digital output which would be compatible
    with my speaker system.

A: Unfortunately, we cannot confirm this as it would be wrong. If your
speakers do not have an optical digital input then this will not work.
In this case, you could only use the Analog connections. The AA SRM does
NOT have a coaxial digital Output. It has an Optical / S/PDIF output,
which is not the same as coaxial.

Running 2 Headsets:
Q: Can I run Two Headsets out of the SRM in the following manner:
1-headset/mic combo out of the mini phones/mic inputs AND 1-headset only
to monitor the voice talent out of the multi-pin input?

A: Yes, if you have an HPA2 or X52 5.1 surround headphone set plugged into
the mini-DIN 9-pin connector on the back of the SRM, you can also plug a
stereo headphone set into the LINE OUT on the SRM... and you will hear
    audio through both headphone sets!

Using 2 SRM or AK-R8 Simultaneously?
Q: Can two AK-R8 systems be run off one notebook via two separate USB ports:
for example, two people watching a DVD movie and listening via separate
AK-R8 systems so as not to wake the neighbors?

A: You cannot have two AK-R8 connected and functioning simultaneously even
on different USB Ports. This is a Windows limitation, since the Windows
Operating System can use only one Sound System at a time. Default Sound
    System.

                       *****************************

Q: What is the USB socket used for?

A: The USB socket is a standard USB port that has multiple functionality:
    - Provides electric power
    - Allows streaming data to enter the SRM (this is PCM data)
    - Commands, Controls for the chipset contained in the USB

                       ******************************

Q: When using an AA SRM connected to a PC using only the USB input and
playing a game that does not have a pre-encoded subwoofer track, is
the SRM able to process the low frequency signals and route them to
    the sub-woofer output?

A: No, it cannot do this. The AA SRM does not have a Decoder in order to
separate the frequencies and branch them out as distinctive data (high
or low frequency). In order for the AA SRM to do this, the incoming
material must already be AC-3 data (Dolby Digital). Then the SRM, using
the included 9-pin Din cable can branch out the frequencies via the
3 cables at the other end of the 9-pin as follows:
    - Green: Front
    - Black: Rear
    - Orange: Center / Subwoofer
Please note that the Center and the Subwoofer are always 'ganged'
    together.

RAM and Processor onboard?
Q: I wanted to know if your sound card uses its own onboard RAM and Processor
in order to decode sound or if it only uses mine. I just wanted to know if
it provides any hardware acceleration or if it is mainly software
    acceleration.

A: Sorry, the AA SRM is based on a USB to audio codec, but does not contain
its own CPU and RAM for audio processing.
