Mac OS support:
The HPA Headphones may be used in a computer (PC or Mac) with at least
6-channel (5.1) audio out capability. They *do not care* if the platform is
a PC or a Mac, as long as there is a multichannel Sound Card that they can be
plugged in. Please note that the "Audio Advantage SRM" is not supported in the
MacOS.

HPA Noise Canceling:
Q: I would like to know if the microphone included with your new HPA headset
is noise-canceling. I have found nothing on you site that indicates such
but it does seem to be the standard on PC headsets these days.
Thank you for your time.
A: The Microphone included with the HPA Headphones does not have Noise
Canceling Features.

HPA Connection to Stereo:
Q: Will the surround sound headphones Ear Force HPA plug into and work on a
stereo?
A: Yes it will. You would need to connect the Power cord to the included
Power Adapter, then to an AC outlet and use the Front (Green) plug with
a 1/8" to (Optional) 1/4" Adapter. This is also available on our Web Site
in the HPA Accessories section.

HPA Size:
Q: Are the Ear Force HPA any bigger than the Ear Force X-51s? Do the HPA's
cover the full ear? The X-51s are a little small and only cover part of
my ear and are a little uncomfortable. If the HPAs are full ear it might
just be worth it to go get those.
A: The ear cups on the HPA headphones are larger than the X-51s and they
cover the full ear.

HPA Pads Cushion and Comfort:
Q: Everything works great except the pads on the Earforce HPA are not thick
enough for long time comfort. I am an avid gamer and I wear them for hours
at a time. Upon inspection, I've seen the pads are removable and swappable
if there were pads made with the same circumference specifications. Thus
it's possible to swap them out with a thicker pad which in turn would
create a deeper hallow for wide ears? I've looked over the site and don't
see any options for the ear pads.
A: Please consider the following:
1. We do not recommend wearing ANY Headphones for hours on end as it may
be harmful to your ears over time. According to statistics, hearing
loss has increased with the use of Walkman, MP3 Players, Cell phones.
(20% in the last couple of decades)
2. Human ear anatomy differs dramatically and what is comfortable for one
set of ears or head, may be 'painful' for a different person. Please
note that the HPAs are adjustable. Please see:
"Headphones and Comfort - Too Tight?"
3. There is no thicker pad replacement for the HPA headphones. We are
sorry for any inconvenience.

HPA Noise Cancellation?
Q: I was wondering if your HPA headphones are closed or open headphones.
Do they have a really good noise cancellation? After all, noise
cancellation is very important for me. I don't want to hear my brother
talk while I play games when the headphones are on. Thank you for your
time and support
A: The HPA headphones are 5.1 surround sound headphones of a closed ear
design. The closed ear design helps to reduce the outside noise around
you but there is no active noise cancellation employed with these
headphones.

HPA & Montego DDL & Decoder:
Q: I have my X-Box hooked up to the Montego DDL via optical S/PDIF and I'm
wondering if the HPA headphones will receive the Dolby Digital and DTS
signals from the X-Box or if I need a separate decoder.
A: The HPA phones do not have a Dolby Digital/DTS decoder. The HPA are
designed to play back decoded 5.1. So yes, you would need to use a device
with a Dolby Digital/DTS decoder and the separate line level outputs to
feed the HPA phones.
If you're using a Montego DDL, bear in mind that the soundcard is not
a hardware decoder. Software would be required to decode the incoming
S/PDIF Dolby Digital/DTS datastream from the Xbox and then send the analog
5.1 audio channels to the separate line level outputs of the Montego DDL.
I do not believe that DVD playing commercially available software DVD
players such as WinDVD or PowerDVD are capable of this.
