If you wish to experiment with Win XP using a Fiji, here are (strictly
*unsupported*) instructions:

Although the Fiji can be used in Plug n' Play mode in Win 9x using the Win 9x
drivers, the drivers that we will use to install in Win XP are the Win NT 4.0
drivers and are not Plug n' Play compatible.

Therefore, before you start, you should perform a "hardware resource
inventory" and write down what resources are free for the Fiji to use,
and change the J9 jumper accordingly.

If you had a working Win NT 4.0 configuration with the Fiji,
you may wish to duplicate those settings in Win 2000.

NOTE: Although you have functionality of the soundcard, the Device Manager
will report: "No drivers are installed for this device".
      You may ignore this.
