Miracle Piano Teaching System - Procedure for using the Maui with it
Miracle Piano Teaching system was part of the "Crescendo" package.

1. Before turning your computer on, make sure that the 'MIDI OUT' of the
Crescendo keyboard is plugged into the 'MIDI IN' of the Maui midi adapter.
2. Turn on your computer
3. Install the Miracle software by changing to the A: drive and typing
    A:\install
4. Follow the directions and install the files to the C:\MIRACLE directory.
5. On the "Select Keyboard Interface" screen, choose: General MIDI
    (GENERAL)
6. On the following screen select: MPU-401 compatible MIDI interface
7. Turn the Crescendo keyboard on and press 'enter'
8. Choose 'Y' for the next two options (This sets up the Maui to be MPU-401
compatible by using Port 330 and IRQ 2).
9. If you have a printer, choose the appropriate one from the list.
10. A confirmation screen will appear with the settings you have chosen.
    Press 'enter.'
11. Press 'enter' again and the Miracle files will be copied to your hard
    drive.

To Run the Miracle Software:

In order for the Maui to correctly interface with the Miracle software, the
Maui needs to be initialized with the MPU-401 defaults of port address 330
and IRQ 2/9. This can be done by running the file 'mauimrcl.bat' which is
available on our FTP Site.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you would rather type your own batch file, the procedure is as follows:

1. At the DOS prompt, type CD\MAUI to go to the Maui directory
2. If you have DOS 5.0 or greater, you can use the 'Edit' command to create
your file. This is done by typing: edit mauimrcl.bat
3. The DOS editor will appear with the file name 'mauimrcl.bat' at the top of
    the screen.
4. Type the following lines in the DOS editor:
             cd\maui
             setupsnd -x /a330 /i2 osmaui.mot
             cd\miracle
             miracle
5. Use the mouse to choose 'File' and select 'Save.' If your mouse isn't
initialized you can use the alt-f combination to get to the file options.
Select File again and choose 'exit.'
6. To use the file, type: MAUIMRCL in the C:\MAUI directory. This will
initialize the Maui and automatically start the Miracle program.
