You more than likely have another soundcard in your system that is listed as
Windows' primary MIDI device, and therefore, loading the Windows drivers.
The order needs to be changed to list Maui as the primary MIDI device.
This can be done by editing the SYSTEM.INI file and changing the MIDI=
statements in the [Drivers] section.
Use the example below to make these changes:
BEFORE AFTER
[Drivers] [Drivers]
Midi=SB16midi.drv Midi1=SB16midi.drv
Midi1=Maui.drv Midi=Maui.drv
If you are still having trouble, try accessing the MIDI Mapper from Windows
Control Panel. Click on Edit, then make sure all 16 channels are set to Maui
Sample Player.
