The Montego A3DXstream is based on the original Aureal Vortex chipset, which
is different than the newer Aureal Vortex 2 chipset used on the Montego II
soundcard. The two cards look almost exactly alike.

To tell if you have a Montego A3DXstream, look at the large chip to the lower
right in the board shot above. This chip will have a large "A" (for Aureal)
and a number beneath that.

-If the number says AU8820 then the card is a Montego A3DXstream.

-If the number says AU8830 then the card is a Montego II.

Please do not try to install a Montego A3DXstream using Montego II drivers,
or vice versa. This can cause problems and the soundcard will not work.
