What are the new features of the Montego II?
The Montego II carries on the legacy of the original Montego I and takes
positional 3-D audio to new levels.  Designed to take full advantage of 
Vortex 2 PCI audio accelerator, A3D 2.0 is fully backward-compatible while
introducing additional advanced 3-D audio features: 

* Handles 96 simultaneous DirectSound streams.  Montego II frees your CPU, 
  increasing graphics card performance, input device response times and
  rendering of audio environments that maximize your gaming experience.
* Improved S/N ratio: 97 dB. 
* Larger HRTF filters for more accurate 3-D positioning (Head Related 
  Transfer Function: the set of audio filters that form the core of 
  positional 3D audio processing)
* Full A3D 2.0 wavetracing support - the ability to add wall reflections and 
  occlusions to model the acoustic characteristics of the environment.
* Support for audio streams up to 48 kHz. 
* 320-voice wavetable engine (64 hardware + 256 software). 
* 10-band stereo graphic equalizer. 
* Real-mode DOS compatibility to support your legacy DOS games while
  enhancing the latest 3D games by accelerating A3D, Microsoft DirectSound3D,
  and DirectSound.
