NOTE:
The Montego II is based on the Aureal Vortex 2 chipset, which is different 
than the older Aureal Vortex chipset on the Montego A3DXstream. 

To tell if you have a Montego II, look at the large chip to the lower right 
in the board shot above. This chip will have a large "A" (for Aureal) and
a number beneath that. 

  -If the number says AU8830 then the card is a Montego II. 

  -If the number says AU8820 then the card is a Montego A3DXstream.

Please do not try to install a Montego II using Montego A3DXstream drivers, 
or vice versa. This can cause problems and the soundcard will not work.
