Static noise 
This can be caused by noisy computer components and might happen whenever 
your hard drive is active. 

1. Disconnect the CD Audio Cable to see if it picks up static from the noisy 
   environment. 

2. If this is the case, try threading the CD Audio cable through the other
   computer cables until it is quiet. 

3. If this does not work, you may obtain a heavy duty shielded CD Audio cable 
   from Pacific Interconnections at (800)706-0510 or (408)654-0234.
