Generally speaking Sound Blaster Emulation is only needed for computer Games.
If you have System Conflicts and wish to disable the Sound Blaster Emulation,
the easiest way is to use the TB Drivers that use only ONE IRQ:

The following is the long way if you do not want use the 1 IRQ Driver:
Changing SoundBlaster Emulation resources on the Montego can help to:
* Change the interrupt used.
* Change the number of DMA channels used
CHANGING RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS:
1) Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager ->
Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
2) Double-click on TBS Montego Soundblaster Emulation to view its properties.
3) Click on the Resources tab.
4) Uncheck the "Use Automatic Settings" box.
5) Switch to a Basic Configuration setting that requires only one DMA channel
or a different interrupt.
Disabling SoundBlaster Emulation resources on the Montego II can help to:
* Free up an interrupt request
* Prevent an operating system from freezing on reboot due to resource
conflicts
NOTE: You must do the following BEFORE rebooting the machine after the
installation of the drivers.
DISABLING SOUNDBLASTER EMULATION:
1) Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager ->
Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
2) Double-click on TBS Montego Soundblaster Emulation to view its properties.
3) Click on the General tab.
4) Check the "Disable in this hardware profile" box.
5) Click Start -> Run -> type: "sysedit", click OK
6) Go to your Autoexec.bat
7) You'll see two lines that resemble these:
LH C:\WINDOWS\AU30DOS.COM (ASP4WAVE.COM for Montego A3D Xstream)
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D3 T4
8) Put "rem" and a space in front of each of these lines so that they
resemble this:
rem LH C:\WINDOWS\AU30DOS.COM (ASP4WAVE.COM for Montego A3D Xstream)
rem SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D3 T4
9) Save, exit and reboot. You are done.
