Recording MIDI to Wave using AS32
MIDI synthesizers (including those built into Turtle Beach soundcards)
usually output in analog form only. The Multisound Pinnacle Rev F and 200K
Refurbished have the capability of sending their internal MIDI Synth outputs
in digital form to their digital audio inputs, but this is an unusually
advanced feature for a soundcard.

The Montego A3DXstream and Montego II soundcards can record to the hard disk
from any connected source by choosing the Stereo Mixer as the active
recording input.

In AudioStation 32:
  - Click on the Mixer Control Select icon in the upper left corner of the
      Audio Mixer module.
  - Choose Recording Control (may be Recording Control 2) from the popup menu.
  - Select the Stereo Mixer as the recording input. The Stereo Mixer button
should now have a light blue "light" on it. This activates all inputs
for recording. Adjusting the Stereo Mixer fader raises or lowers
the volume of all recording inputs.

  - Click once more on the Mixer Control Select icon in the upper left corner
      of the Audio Mixer module.
  - Choose Volume Control (may be Volume Control 2) from the popup menu.
  - Since the Stereo Mix input will allow recording from all active inputs,
you may wish to mute all inputs except the Montego II's internal MIDI
synth when recording the synthesizer alone.

      This will ensure that:
        - the recording is made with a minimum amount of background noise.
        - no undesired sound sources are recorded along with
            the MIDI synthesizer.

The image above shows the cursor over the Mute Control for MIDI Out.
The other inputs have all been muted.

A muted input is indicated by the red circle with a slash through it.
An active input appears normally.
