Win 2000 - Skipping Audio / Poor Performance
Windows 2000 defaults audio performance to not fully hardware-accelerated.
This may result in poor audio performance. To change the acceleration level 
and correct this problem, please follow these steps:

- Click on Start | Settings | Control Panel | Sounds and Multimedia.
- Click the Audio tab.
- Make sure that the Aureal Vortex driver is selected as the playback 
  and record devices.
- Click the Advanced button under Playback Device.
- Click the Performance tab.
- Adjust the slider to Full.
- Click OK.
- Click the Advanced button under Recording Device.
- Click the Performance tab.
- Adjust the slider to Full.
- Click OK.
- Close the Control Panel.
- Reboot.

NOTE: 
The information above is offered on an AS IS basis as a courtesy to our 
customers. The Montego II is not supported in Win 2000 by Turtle Beach.
