Recording Cancun MIDI to Wave
*ALL* Midi daughterboards (including the Cancun FX) output in analog format
only. Most sound cards route this signal to the output mixer for playback,
but often not back to the soundcard's internal inputs for recording to the
hard disk as a Wave file.

The Montego A3D Xstream and Montego II soundcards can record to the hard disk
from any connected source by choosing the Stereo Mixer as the active recording
input. Click the Stereo Mixer's Select checkbox in the Windows Mixer or
AudioStation 32, as shown in the screenshots below.

In AudioStation 32:
- Click on the Mixer Control Select icon in the upper left corner of the Audio
    Mixer module.
- Choose Recording Control (may be Recording Control 2) from the popup menu.
- Select the Stereo Mixer as the recording input. The Stereo Mixer button
should now have a light blue "light" on it. This activates all inputs
for recording. Adjusting the Stereo Mixer fader raises or lowers the
    volume of all recording inputs.

In the Windows Volume Control Mixer:
- Go to Start | Programs | Accessories | Multimedia (Entertainment in Windows
    98/2000) | Volume Control.
- Go to Options | Properties.
- Click on the Recording button and make sure the Stereo Mixer box is checked.
    Click OK.
- The Recording Control will open. Put a checkmark in the Select box
underneath the Stereo Mixer fader. Adjusting the Stereo Mixer fader
raises or lowers the volume of all recording inputs.

If you intend to record from the MIDI daughterboard synth only, select the
MPU-401 as the recording source.

In AudioStation 32:
- Click on the Mixer Control Select icon in the upper left corner of the Audio
    Mixer module.
- Choose Recording Control from the popup menu.
- Select the MPU-401 (or your soundcard's external MIDI port) as the recording
input. The MPU-401 button should now have a light blue "light" on it.
Adjusting the MPU-401 fader raises or lowers the volume of the Cancun.

In the Windows Volume Control Mixer:
