Montego II Plus - FAQs
All files and documentation are offered on an *AS IS* basis and you assume full responsibility for using them.
Connections - Digital I/O Board (Breakout Bracket) 
- Before proceeding, please read the Getting Started Guide for details on 
  installing the Montego II board and the breakout bracket in your system.

- *Only* the included 8 pin ribbon cable should be used to connect 
  the Montego II sound card to the breakout bracket. 
  (Please do not use a custom made cable). 

- When handling any boards, you should always discharge any static electricity
  you might carry, by touching a metal part on your computer's chassis.

1) Connect one end of the 8 pin ribbon cable to the 8-pin S/PDIF connector 
   on the Montego II. 
     * Be certain to align the pins correctly with the connector.  
     * The key (notch) on the connector should face away from the sound card.
     * The red wire on the ribbon cable should face the rear of the computer. 

2) Connect the other end of the cable to the S/PDIF Interface on the breakout
   bracket. 
     * The key (notch) should fit snuggly into the slot on the connector. 
     * The red wire on the ribbon cable should face the front of the computer.
