Conflict between Audio & Multifunction devices
Q:
In the Windows Device Manager, under Sound, video and game controllers,
why do I see a conflict reported in the Conflicting devices list: on the
Resources tab for either the Montego II Audio or Montego II Multifunction PCI
Platform?

A:
This is normal and in no way indicates a conflict. The two devices are
'dependent' on each other; The Montego II Multifunction PCI Platform is the
'parent' device and the Montego II Audio is the 'child'.

NOTES:
PCI devices can share IRQs. This is one reason why the PCI architecture
is preferable to the older ISA architecture. ISA cards cannot share IRQs
and are often the source of IRQ resource conflicts in PCs.
