Updated information: (Catalina specific Chipset: Envy24HT-S)
You should be able to use the 'reference' drivers from VIA Technologies
for the Envy24 chipset on which the Turtle Beach Catalina is based.
At this time, these drivers are available directly from VIA, from their
website at www.viaarena.com.
Turtle Beach does not provide support for the use of these drivers.

Microsoft Windows XP and Vista x64 support 64-bit processing, which at this
time defines the frontier of performance on the desktop.
While there are obvious advantages to the x64 platform, wide compatibility
is not one of them. If you are a 'power user' who must take advantage of the
latest advances in technology, even if this creates difficulties in system
integration and component compatibility, AND you have a particular product
that can take advantage of the x64 platform, then x64 may well make sense
for you.
However, we have chosen to direct our energies toward the mainstream home
desktop user, providing products that are user-friendly, fun to use and easily
affordable. Since 32-bit Windows is still the platform of choice for the
overwhelming majority of users (especially home consumers), we will try to
provide the best products and support for that particular segment.
There will come a time when some version of 64-bit processing will become
commonplace and 'go mainstream.' Rest assured that Turtle Beach will be ready
when the time comes. But for now, we feel that 32-bit processing is still the
best place to be for most users who value ease-of-use and broad compatibility
over raw performance.
A little history:
This period is much like the transition from hybrid 16/32-bit Windows
(Win95/98/Me) to a true 32-bit platform (Windows NT 3.51 and NT 4.0),
which occurred around 1997-99. At first, WinNT seemed very unfriendly
and there was scant support for home entertainment peripherals for NT.
This changed for the better with Windows 2000 and XP. We expect a similar
process to occur with the x64 platform.
Thank you for your support of Turtle Beach products!
