Stereo, 4, 6, and 8 channel speaker configurations are selected from the
Control Panel Main Tab
CONNECTOR: FUNCTION:
GREEN Front Out (Ch.1 & 2) Use Front Out for stereo playback on powered
speakers or headphones.
BLACK Rear Out (Ch. 3 & 4) Use Surround Out for rear channel powered
speakers in 4, 5.1 and 7.1 playback modes.
ORANGE CEN/LFE (Ch. 5 & 6) Use Center/Sub for powered center & sub-woofer
speakers in 5.1 and 7.1 playback modes.
ORANGE Alt Center (Ch. 7 & 8) Use Rear Out for powered speakers placed
directly behind the listener in 7.1 playback
mode.

S/PDIF Digital Out: Optical S/PDIF output for playback of digital
audio from external sources at resolutions of
up to 24 bits at 96kHz sampling rate. Allows
for pass-through of Dolby(R) Digital and DTS(R)
multi-channel DVD sound to external A/V
receivers or digital speaker systems.
S/PDIF Digital In: Optical S/PDIF input for recording digital
audio from external sources at resolutions of
up to 16 bits at 48kHz sampling rate. Settings
are in the Control Panel main tab.

PINK Mic Input (Monaural): Accepts multimedia microphone. You can also
activate an additional 20dB boost on the mic
gain through the Montego DDL Control Panel.
BLUE Line-In L/R: Accepts line-level sources such as CD players,
Cassette players, etc.

INTERNAL CONNECTORS:
CD L/R In (Stereo): Accepts analog audio from an internal CD drive.
Windows XP utilizes digital audio transfer to
the sound card from the PCI bus, so this
connection is not required.
Aux L/R In (Stereo): Accepts analog audio from a second internal CD
or DVD drive
