The Multisound Pinnacle is the most recent product in the Multisound series.
This line of high-end, professional music production soundcards for the PC
began with the original Turtle Beach 56K hard disk recording system in the
early 1990's.

The Pinnacle uses a Motorola 56002 Digital Signal Processor (DSP), which is
a precursor to the Motorola 56303 currently used in some of today's most
advanced digital audio systems. The Motorola 56002 DSP features a 56-bit
internal data path along with 24-bit Input/Output capabilities.

The Pinnacle is outfitted with high quality 20-bit analog-to-digital and
digital-to-analog converters by Crystal Semiconductors, which when coupled
with the Pinnacle's 24-bit internal data path allows for recording and
playback in true 20-bit resolution!

The Kurzweil MA-1 MIDI synthesizer/sampler is built in to the Pinnacle,
which includes two 72-pin SIMM slots for adding external sample RAM.
There is a bi-directional wavetable header for adding a Turtle Beach Rio
or Cancun, or other MIDI daughtercard. On top of all that, the Pinnacle
also includes a standard MPU-401 compatible external MIDI interface
for connecting to your keyboard synth or sound module.

The MultiSound Pinnacle was introduced in late 1996.
The Refurbished (200K) version of this board is still available
for a limited time only through Voyetra Turtle Beach.
