CAUTION: 
  The pins in the 9-pin mini-DIN connectors used in the Ear Force HPA are
  small and easily bent. You MUST be careful not to mash them together,
  causing a short circuit. Broken or shorted pins can cause irreparable damage
  to the inline amplifiers! 

BE PATIENT:
  The male 9-pin mini-DIN connector has exposed pins. The connectors are
  'keyed' so that you can't put them together in the wrong alignment. This can
  make it a bit tricky to get the connectors to mate, but this is by design, 
  as misalignment of the pins could easily cause damage. So please be patient
  when putting the connectors together, and please DO NOT FORCE them together.
  While there are no dangerous voltages present, we do want to avoid
  destruction of the inline amplifiers.
