Troubleshooting FAQ
Q: Microphone does not work.

A: Please make sure that:
    - You are connecting the correct cable from the HPA Headphones (pink)
to the correct "Mic In" input of your Sound Card.

    - You have the Mic selected as your recording source in your sound card's
control panel. You can also check that the Mic is selected in the
       Windows Mixer (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Entertainment->Volume
       Control->Options->Properties->Recording->OK).

Once you have the Mic selected as the recording source, launch the
Windows sound recorder and see if you can record via the mic.

No Subwoofer or Bass response:
Q: I'm using an SoundBlaster Audigy card (Platinum bundle) but I get no
subwoofer or bass response. In listening to a movie with the headphones
turning the "sub" dial makes no difference. Games and music all seem to
    be missing that bass punch.

A: There are three main requirements for getting the Ear Force HPAs (or any
5.1 speaker setup) working with an Audigy card.
    1) You need to have the Audigy drivers installed
    2) You need to have the Audigy "PlayCenter" software installed.
    3) You need to make sure that CMSS is enabled in the Creative Audio
        Console.
(Please note that the above does not apply to the Audigy 2 series, which
had what was called "MediaSource" software)

HPA - Vibration:
Q: I have the Audigy 2. I did notice these headphones vibrating when I had
them plugged into the analog ports *incorrectly*. Should they always be
vibrating like that? Is their any driver or anything I can download to
make these headphones function and vibrate? I have tried turning all of
the dials on the amp up then turning it up, and I've tried adjust at
    different variations. Still no vibration.

A: On some sound cards (that use proprietary connectors) the center and sub
may be reversed. In this case scenario, unfortunately, since these
connectors are not 'standard' there is not much one can do.

HPA: Mic problem:
Q: I just bought a brand new pair of Ear Force HPA headphones. The problem
I am having is when I'm using the mike and playing my game. My game sounds
are going through the mike when I'm talking on it to my buddies online.
My sound card is the soundblaster xfi extrema. Please help me with which
    setting to turn this off.

A: You may try to lower the Mic Input level of your Sound Card's Mixer
so that it is not so sensitive and pick up as much background noise.
