Connecting the Microphone 
The X2 microphone may be used to communicate with other players during Xbox 
Live multi-player gaming sessions. Use the included 2.5mm cable to connect 
the microphone to the Xbox controller. 

    -  Insert the light gray plug into the headphone jack labeled with the 
       Xbox controller symbol 
    -  Use the Mic Mute button on the cable to disable the sound from
       the microphone
    -  Insert the dark gray plug into the headphone jack on the Xbox
       controller 

The switch integrated into the cable may be used to mute the microphone when 
you don't want other players to hear you talking. This is the only control 
and there is no way to adjust the volume level of the Mic.
