Installation and Connections - 1 depending on the cables included in your package
Installing the Batteries:
The X2 headphones are powered by 2 AAA batteries (included) located in the
left ear cup. Typical battery life is 30 - 40 hours, depending upon usage
and the type of batteries. Alkaline batteries will last longer. Lift the
battery cover and insert both batteries before operating the headphones.
Then turn the power switch on the right ear cup to the "on" position.

PLEASE NOTE: To conserve battery power, the X2 headphones automatically
power off after 2 minutes without a signal. To use the
headphones after they have auto-shut down, turn the power
switch to the "off" position, then "on" again.

Connecting the Ear Force X2 Power Supply:
1. Connect the small, cylindrical +12VDC power plug

into the +12VDC power jack on the back of the X2 Base Unit.

2. Connect the AC-DC power supply into a household AC wall outlet
   (120VAC 60Hz).

3. The red LED on the front of the Base Unit should light, indicating that
the unit is properly powered up.

CAUTION: Use only the supplied Turtle Beach power supply adapter. Use of
a different adapter can result in irreparable damage to the product
         or possible fire hazard.

Connecting the Xbox 360:
We know it can be a little confusing with all the Y-adapters and where the
various plugs and jacks should go. However, you should be able to get sound
going by carefully following the steps below. Before we start with the
instructions, let's get our terminology straight, so you know what we're
trying to say:
    - When we say "plug" we mean a "male" connector
    - When we say "jack" we mean a "female" connector or a "socket"

Now, here's the Step-by-Step:

1. Find the stereo 3.5mm to dual-RCA Y-cable that came with the headphones,
    Y-CABLE 1.

    On Y-CABLE 1, there is a black 3.5mm (1/8-inch) mini-phone plug at one end
of the cable. Insert that end into the small input jack on the back of the
X2 Base Unit. While you're there, set the Input Level Switch to High.

2. Look at the other end of this Y-cable (Y-CABLE 1). There is a red RCA plug
and a white RCA plug. We'll get back to this in a minute.

3. Now take a look at the other two Y-cables. Y-CABLE 2 has all white
connectors and Y-CABLE 3 has all red connectors.

4. Connect the white RCA plug (Male) from Y-CABLE 1 to one of the white RCA
    jacks (Female) on Y-CABLE 2.

5. Connect the red RCA plug (Male) from Y-CABLE 1 to one of the red RCA jacks
    (Female) on Y-CABLE 3.

6. Connect the white RCA plug (Male) from the Xbox 360 to the other white RCA
    jack (Female) on Y-CABLE 2.

7. Connect the red RCA plug (Male) from the Xbox 360 to the other red RCA
    jack (Female) on Y-CABLE 3.

8. To get sound from your TV (Left channel), connect the white RCA plug from
Y-CABLE 2 to the TV's AUDIO IN (LEFT) jack.

9. To get sound from your TV (Left channel), connect the red RCA plug from
Y-CABLE 3 to the TV's AUDIO IN (RIGHT) jack.

NOTE:
If you are using a VGA or LCD monitor instead of a TV, you will have a
pair of plugs left hanging out with nowhere to go. That's OK, those are
the two meant to go to the AUDIO IN L/R on your stereo TV. Since you're
not using that, you won't need to worry about those plugs.

                       ******************************

Setting the Volume Level:
The X2 headphones include a volume control on the right ear cup for
controlling the headphone audio level. The volume sensitivity may be set
by a three-way switch on the base unit.

  - Center Position (Mute): Turns off the audio input to mute the sound
     to the headphones.
  - Top Position (High): Used with unusually low level audio sources.
  - Bottom Position (Low): Used with normal level audio sources.

When using the X2 with an Xbox, position the switch to the bottom
  (low) setting.
