Installation and Connections - 2 depending on the cables included in your package
Installing the Batteries:
The X2 headphones are powered by 2 AAA batteries (included) located in the
left ear cup. Typical battery life is 30 - 40 hours, depending upon usage
and the type of batteries. Alkaline batteries will last longer. Lift the
battery cover and insert both batteries before operating the headphones.
Then turn the power switch on the right ear cup to the "on" position.

PLEASE NOTE: To conserve battery power, the X2 headphones automatically
power off after 2 minutes without a signal. To use the
headphones after they have auto-shut down, turn the power
switch to the "off" position, then "on" again.

Connecting the Ear Force X2 Power Supply:
1. Connect the small, cylindrical +12VDC power plug

into the +12VDC power jack on the back of the X2 Base Unit.

2. Connect the AC-DC power supply into a household AC wall outlet
   (120VAC 60Hz).

3. The red LED on the front of the Base Unit should light, indicating that
the unit is properly powered up.

CAUTION: Use only the supplied Turtle Beach power supply adapter. Use of
a different adapter can result in irreparable damage to the product
         or possible fire hazard.

Connecting the Xbox 360:
We know it can be a little confusing where the various plugs and jacks should
go. However, you should be able to get sound going by carefully following the
steps below. Before we start with the instructions, let's get our terminology
straight, so you know what we're trying to say:
    - When we say "plug" we mean a "male" connector
    - When we say "jack" we mean a "female" connector or a "socket"

Now, here's the Step-by-Step:

1. Find the supplied cable with stereo 3.5mm mini-phone plug at one end and
dual-RCA male and dual-RCA female at the other end. Notice that the
cable's plugs and jacks are labeled. The labels describe where you should
connect each of the three plugs and two jacks on the cable.

2. Connect the 3.5mm mini-phone plug to the AUDIO INPUT on the back of the X2
    Base Unit.

3. Connect the two *female* RCA jacks (XBOX L and XBOX R) to the two *male*
RCA plugs coming from the Xbox 360 (the Audio Outputs). These jacks and
    plugs are color-coded:
      - Red is for Right
      - White is for Left
Plug the red plugs into the red jacks and white goes to white.

4. Connect the *male* 3.5mm mini-phone plug to the AUDIO INPUT on the back
    of the X2 Base Unit.

5. Connect the two remaining RCA plugs (TV L and TV R) to the RCA jacks on
your TV or sound system. Again, red goes to red, white to white.

NOTES:
If you are using a VGA or LCD monitor instead of a TV, you will have a
pair of plugs left hanging out with nowhere to go. That's OK, those are
the two meant to go to the AUDIO IN L/R on your stereo TV. Since you're
not using that, you won't need to worry about those plugs.

Please set the INPUT LEVEL switch on the X2 Base Unit to LOW.

Connecting the headset to the Xbox 360 Controller:

The light gray 2.5mm micro-mini phone plug goes to the 2.5mm jack on the
left earcup of the headphones. The dark gray end of the connection cable
has a straight 2.5mm micro-mini phone plug. This goes to the 2.5mm headset
jack on the Xbox 360 Controller.

                       ******************************

Setting the Volume Level:
The X2 headphones include a volume control on the right ear cup for
controlling the headphone audio level. The volume sensitivity may be set
by a three-way switch on the base unit.

  - Center Position (Mute): Turns off the audio input to mute the sound
     to the headphones.
  - Top Position (High): Used with unusually low level audio sources.
  - Bottom Position (Low): Used with normal level audio sources.

When using the X2 with an Xbox, position the switch to the bottom
  (low) setting.
