General FAQ
PlayStation 3 Compatibility:
Q: I was just wondering if the ear force x1 headset is compatible with the
ps3 because if it is I will definitely be picking these up because I don't
want to have to buy another headset just for the ps3, so if it's possible
is there a hook up to connect to this so you can use them with a ps3.

A: While the audio portion should work, the Mic will not work.

Mac G5 Compatibility:
Q: I am thinking of puchasing Ear Force X1 wired headphones. I was wondering
if the headphones are compatible with Mac G5 computers.

A: The headphones can be used for any personal computer's analog stereo line
out and microphone connections. However, you may need to get an adapter
to mate the Mac's line out and mic connectors with those of the X1
    headphones.

Receiver Connection:
Q: My game sound is running through my stereo receiver, not TV. How does the
X1 hook up through a receiver? I'm using a wireless headset that plugs
right into the front headphone jack.

A: The X1 would need to have power from a USB port. USB ports are not usually
present on home stereo receivers. However, the audio would connect to the
receiver using a dual-RCA to 1/8" stereo to 1/4" stereo phone plug adapter
set. The X1 was designed for use with the Xbox 360, which does have a
USB port and the necessary red/white RCA plug pair.

Q: Why don't my X1 headphones reverberate my voice back into my headphones
when I am talking into it? My plain old xbox 360 headphones reverberate
back into the headphones! Are there any models capable of this?

A: The X1 was designed to send your voice over Xbox Live so that it could be
heard by teammates, opponents, etc. over the Live Chat network. There is
no 'self-monitor' feature in that particular model.
We did add a self-monitor feature to the later X3 model headset.

Q: Can I use the Ear Force X1 Xbox 360 Stereo Headset to listen to audio
while I watch a movie on the Xbox (either on a DVD or from a digital
    Download)?

A: Yes, you can!
