Using with a PC:
Q: I was curious if your wireless headphones/headsets will work on both
gaming consoles and a Personal Computer (Windows-based). I am currently
looking for a wireless headset to use online with my PC, but the vast
majority of PC headphones are wired.
A: Although our wireless Headphones were designed for the Xbox, they can
be used as 2-Channel Stereo Headphones with a computer using an optional
1/8" to 1/8" cable. However, please note that the microphone will not
function with a PC.

Connections - digital optical cable to a 5.1 receiver:
Q: I have the 360 setup with a digital optical cable to a 5.1 receiver. The
transmitter for the X3 looks like it doesn't support optical just the
regular RCA cable so how would I go and use these headphones without
conflicting with two different outputs? Would I have to remove the optical
cable to play with the headset or can I leave both the transmitter and
optical cables connected?
A: If you have a stereo headphone output on your home theater receiver that
is hooked up to your Xbox, you could use that to drive the X3 headphones.
The Xbox digital out would connect to the digital in on your home theater
receiver. The Xbox controller would connect to the X3.

Line-of-sight of the transmitter:
Q: Since IR is used, I'd have to remain in line of sight of the transmitter.
Does this mean I have to remain perfectly still to enjoy the full benefits
of this headset?
A: No, you can move about freely so long as you stay within line-of-sight of
the transmitter while wearing the headphones.
*****************************
Q: I'd like to know if I can use them to to listen wireless from my TV.
A: Yes, the X3 may be used to listen wireless from your TV as long as your
TV has the appropriate audio connections.

Interference when used side by side:
Q: My brother and I got another Xbox 360 and another X3 headset so that we
wouldn't have to share anymore. We set them up in our game room so that
the transmitters are about 10-12 feet apart. We are getting really bad
static and the signal crosses from his game to my headphones and vise
versa. Is there a way we can change the frequency on one of the headsets
and/or transmitters so that we do not have any more issues with this?
If not, is there any other way that would remedy this situation?
We could move one of the Xbox's to another room, but I would prefer not
to.
A: The X3 wasn't designed for side-by-side use like that. You can, however,
take advantage of the directional pattern of the IR
transmission/reception. If you have one player's setup facing in a
certain direction (let's say North), and you can have the second player's
setup facing in the opposite direction (let's say South), then the two
headsets should not interfere with each other by picking up each other's
signal.

Batteries:
Q: Can rechargeable batteries be used instead of 'regular' batteries?
A: Rechargeable batteries may be used instead of 'regular' batteries.
*****************************
Batteries:
Q: How long do the batteries last?
A: Depending on the Volume level, anywhere between 5-8 hours.
*****************************
European Voltage:
Q: Would the EAR FORCE X3 actually work on my European Xbox360?
A: Yes it would, however, you would still need an adaptor to physically
connect to the European electric outlets.
*****************************
Red or Green Light:
Q: Why is my X-3 light Red? A friend of mine has a Green light.
A: Some models have the light Red instead of Green. There is no difference
in functionality. It is only a cosmetic difference.
*****************************
Q: Why is the Red light staying Red instead of flashing?
A: This is an indication that the Batteries are low.
*****************************
Q: I was wondering if the product would still work properly with the
exclusion of the Ear Force X3 Transmitter. For example during reasonable
hours of playing I may want to use the audio of my speakers as opposed to
the Ear Force X3 Transmitter, and so only plug in the XBOX Live talkback
cable. Would this work or does the product only function when both pieces
of equipment are used?
A: The X3 would function but the headset will turn itself off after a few
minutes, "thinking" that there is no audio playing through the headset
(it only senses the audio from the game soundtrack, not the mic/Live Chat
channel).
So it would work at first, but the headset would turn itself off after
a few minutes. The X3 just wasn't designed to be used in that manner.
