Headphone Models for Computers vs. Gaming Consoles - Xbox 360 
Computer Gaming Headphones NOT compatible with the Xbox:  
  - EarForce X-51 - Discontinued replaced by X-52
  - EarForce X-52  
  - EarForce HPA - Discontinued replaced by HPA2 
  - EarForce HPA2
  - EarForce SPC
  - ANR-10 (Noise Reduction - BehindTheNeck)
  - ANR-15 (Noise Reduction - Ear Buds)
  - ANR-20 (Noise Reduction - OverTheHead) better quality, good for music too)

The above may be used with the Xbox for Stereo listening only (No Live).
Also, although they would look quite funny, they may be used with the iPod, 
again for Stereo listening only.

Gaming Headphones compatible with the Xbox (Not designed for
Computers but can be used as 2-Channel Stereo Headphones. Except for the X1
the Mic will NOT work.
  - Earforce AXT - Discontinued
  - Earforce X1 (Xbox 360 ONLY not older) (Wired! Can be used with Computers)
       PS2 & PS3 (Playstation 2, 3) = Audio OK, Mic WILL WORK. 
  - Earforce X2 - Discontinued replaced by the X3
       (Wireless! Can be used with Computers, except for the Mic)
       PS2 & PS3 (Playstation 2, 3) = Audio OK, Mic will not work.
  - Earforce X3 (Wireless! Cannot be used with Computers. 
       PS2 & PS3 (Playstation 2, 3) = Audio OK, Mic will not work.
  - Earforce X4 (Wireless! Can be used with Computers. Mic will not work.
       PS2 & PS3 (Playstation 2, 3) = Audio OK, Mic will not work.
    The X4 is the only Multichannel Dolby Surround 5.1 Headphones for the
    Xbox 360.

The "Ear Force D2" was designed specifically and exclusively for the 
"Nintendo DS Lite" gaming console and it cannot be connected to the Xbox 
or to a computer. The plug was made for connection to the "Nintendo DS Lite"
only. Proprietary (non-standard).

The "Ear Force XBL" "Xbox Live Communicator" is a high quality, 
fully-compatible replacement for the single-earphone headset that comes with
the Xbox 360. Although designed for the Xbox 360 on line chat while you play,
it can also be used with computers for Internet Phone applications like 
Skype™ with the included adapter.
