This may happen if the battery is inserted and pushed in the wrong way 
accidentally. If this happens to your headset, here's how to fix it:

-  Remove the batteries and check if the clip has shifted down 
-  If so, you can push it back up with a pointed object (like the tip of a
     pen) so that it's back in the normal position.
-  Insert the batteries carefully in the battery compartment.
