Explosions Seem to Cut Off the Sound
Q: Just bought the pair of Earforce X3 and they seem to cut out when the game
is making a lot of noise. (grenade blowing up). It also acts up during
movies. Is there something that I can do to fix it?

A: The transmitter IR chip has a built-in AGC "Automatic Gain Control" that
lowers the volume when it goes beyond the threshold setting. This is to
protect the drivers from getting blown by excessive sudden signals such
as loud explosions. The input being too loud could trigger this, which
would sound like sudden drop in volume as the AGC recovers from its
    gain overload.

    Please try the following:
    - Make sure that no obstacle is blocking the receiver.
    - Turn down the input level on the Transmitter *not the Headphones*.

Infrared Radiation (IR) is electromagnetic energy at a wavelength or
wavelengths somewhat longer than those of red light.
