Connections - Daughterboards
WARNING:
Caution should be exercised when connecting / disconnecting daughterboards
on the Pinnacle card. If the pins on any of the daughterboards are
misaligned, damage will occur to the board(s) and / or the computer.
This is not covered by VTB warranty and VTB assumes no responsibility for
damage caused by user error.

PRECAUTIONS:
1) Never "hot-swap" daughterboards.
2) Always power down the system and remove the Pinnacle from the motherboard
   before connecting / disconnecting daughterboards.
3) Make sure you discharge any static electricity by touching a metal area on
the PC's chassis before handling computer components.
4) Before power-up make sure that all the connections are correct and all
cards are seated properly without making contact with any adjacent cards
   in the system.
5) Please consult with a qualified, certified technician if you feel uncertain
   in any way.

REMOVING (AND REPLACING) THE HOMAC (Kurzweil):
* The HOMAC is the bigger of the two daughterboards.
* While holding the top of the daughterboard by the connector, carefully pull
it off the host card with a *gentle* back-and-forth rocking motion.
* The HOMAC daughterboard should be connected ONLY to the *horizontal*
WaveTable Header (J5) labeled: 'WaveTable'. This is located on the upper
right side of the host card close to the metal bracket.
* Both rows of pins should be aligned perfectly in the female connector with
  no gold pins left showing.

REMOVING (AND REPLACING) THE DIGITAL I/O DAUGHTERBOARD:
* The digital I/O daughterboard is the smaller of the two daughterboards.
* While holding the top of the daughterboard by the connector, carefully pull
it off the host card with a *gentle* back-and-forth rocking motion.
* The digital I/O daughterboard should be connected ONLY to the *vertical*
Header (JP4) labeled: 'D-I/O Move JP1'. This is located on the lower left
side of the host card (underneath the long EIDE controller connector, below
and to the right of the 2 white SIMM slots). It should be oriented so that
it covers the biggest (DIPP) socketed chip on the host card.

NOTE: The HOMAC (Kurzweil) and the digital I/O daughterboards are optional
accessories. They are both standard accessories in the PPS package.
