Joystick / gameport
The 9-pin MIDI adapter on the bracket of the Tahiti/Monterey was designed
to be used as a MIDI I/O connector. It was not originally designed as a
gameport/joystick interface.

For gameport capability, it may be possible to obtain a GAMEPORT ADAPTER
BRACKET, which is a 15-pin socket on a bracket with a 16-pin adapter cable
on the other end. This adaptor attaches to the Tahiti's GAMEPORT/JOYSTICK
HEADER on the component side of the card.

The Tahiti/Monterey's gameport is of an older design
and cannot be used with a digital joystick or gamepad.

It is now extremely hard to find these adapters, so it is recommended that if
PC gaming is a priority for you, that you may find it worth your while to use
a newer design soundcard for your games, such as the Turtle Beach Montego II.

One possible source for these adapter cables is Pacific Interconnections at:
1-800-706-0510 or 408-654-0234.

If you have a suitable 9-pin to 15-pin adapter cable and you wish to use the
MIDI/Gameport interface on the Tahiti/Monterey with your joystick/gamepad:

1) Change DIP switch #1 on the Tahiti/Monterey to ON.
2) Install the Joystick driver from your Windows CD (or disk set).
