CD-ROM - drive will not eject
1. Check the power cable. Is there one hooked up to the CD-ROM drive?
If you swap the one attached to your hard drive with the one you
plugged to the CD-ROM drive, will it eject then?

2. Check that you have the data cable connected correctly, so that the
red stripe is on pin 1 on the interface card / sound card /
motherboard connector, and the same is true on the rear of the CD-ROM
   drive.

3. Check that the cable is connected to the proper interface (IDE). If
it is attached to the Panasonic or Mitusmi connectors (same number of
pins), the electrical signals will be off and it won't work.

4. Power-off the computer and remove the data cable from the rear of the
CD-ROM drive, leaving only the power hooked up. Turn the computer
back on and try ejecting the drive. If it will eject, then there is
a problem with the IDE port or cable the drive is connected to. Try
a different cable. If it works then, it was the cable. If not, then
it is the IDE interface. If it will not eject, the drive has a
hardware defect. If the drive is still under warranty, it can be
exchanged. Contact Technical Support for assistance.
