Can I use the Ricoh drive as a CD reader? 
Ricoh, the manufacturer of the drive, recommends using a second CD-ROM 
for most day-to-day use.  (Generally, using a CD-R drive as a reader is 
not recommended as it will shorten the lifespan of the drive.)
