SCSI - name of drive is garbled when computer boots
This indicates either no terminator resistors on the drive (see "How to
terminate a SCSI device"), or the DMA transfer speed is set too high. 

To change the DMA transfer speed, run "cfg5140.exe", choose adapter 
configuration, and make sure that it isn't set above 5 MB.
