Error: "Time-out waiting on ROM" during boot up 
This error may occur in some 'newer' systems, on a cold boot only, where the
General MIDI portion of the card does not initialize. This may indicate that 
the ISA bus speed is too fast for the ROM speed. 

1) Please check the boot speed option if there is one in the BIOS setup. 
   Setting it to normal or disabled seems to allow the card to properly 
   initialize. If this option is not available, a system BIOS upgrade may 
   be necessary.

2) It may also be solved by running SETUPSND in DOS, although SETUPSND may
   still display an error.
