If the wavetable won't initialize under Windows 95 during a cold boot
(physically, turning the computer Off then On again), but does during a warm
boot (CTRL-ALT-DEL or Start -> Restart), the card is not initializing in time
for Windows 95.
To fix this:
* Add "setupsnd" to your "autoexec.bat" file, to initialize the card under
DOS. Please see your documentation on how to configure setupsnd.
* Also, check your BIOS setup program for a boot speed option or quick boot
option. Make sure that your system is set to boot at a normal or slow
speed. To enter your BIOS, watch your computer's monitor when you first
turn on the computer. You may see a message that says, "Press [_] to
enter setup" The [_] will be some key such as [DEL] or [F1]. Press that
key when prompted and you will be able to enter the setup program. Please
be careful in the setup program. Improper use of setup may result in your
machine being unable to start up.
* Also, try putting the line
device=c:\tbeach\tbs2001.exe /w
in your "config.sys" file, twice in a row.
