Soundcard choice / Output Comparison
Q: I am looking to purchase a soundcard for my computer. The output will go
to my stereo receiver which has a 7.1 decoder. I am looking for a
soundcard that will transmit the full audio signal (all channels) to the
receiver for decoding. Which of your soundcards will suit my needs?

A: Each of our cards will output a digital signal to your decoder.
The Santa Cruz connects via mini-plug (1/8 inch stereo to dual RCA cable)
The Riviera and Catalina both use an optical output.

Non-Dolby Digital/DTS data will be in 2 channel stereo unless your
receiver has the ability to mirror the signal to all speakers
    (Dolby Pro Logic).
