Dolby Digital/DTS (aka AC3)
PCM: Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) = stereo (2 channel)
Actually AC3 consists of multiple channels *encoded* onto a PCM data stream.
That's why the AC3 data needs to be *decoded* before it will play the multiple
channels. PCM stereo does not need a Dolby decoder.
