In order to Register and use the software, you need to make sure that:
* You are NOT trying to Register this software from the Registration page
on our Web Site. This program will Register ONLY from within the program,
from the system it will be used: Help > Register > enter your own unique,
valid Product ID.
* Your Internet Connection must be active during the installation.
* You must use a valid "Year Of Birth" not how OLD you are but the YEAR!
* Make sure you turn off any "cookie blocking", "pop up killer",
"spam killer", "Cyberpatrol" or any other anti-spamming software.
* Your Browser (Internet Explorer) must be set to "accept cookies"
* Temporarily disable all Firewalls you may be running. Firewalls are often
included in the Operating System, with Routers, with Antivirus Software
(such as Norton Internet Security) and with ISP dialup software.
Any active firewall that is running needs to be disabled
*independently*. Disabling only one of them does not disable
other firewalls you may have in your System.
* Routers like the Linksys series, offer security via "Zone Alarm". You may
need to disable it temporarily and connect directly through your modem
to allow for the Registration process to complete.
* Boot up the computer in Windows Safe Mode with Network Support and try
registering this way. Press F8 during bootup. If you can, then you know
that one of your Windows programs or your ISP provider is filtering and
blocking the Registration.
* The following packets need to be sent out in order to register:
TCP on Port 80
UDP on Port 0 (needed for Internet Gaming services too)
If you have a firewall running when you send your registration
through, these packets CANNOT be sent and Registration will fail.
* If for Security reasons you are behind a Company, Government, Educational
or even a Private Firewall, depending on the Settings and Permissions on
the Firewall - set by the Network Administrator - you may or may not be
able to Register the software and use it. If you are having difficulty
registering the software in such an environment, you may need to contact
your system administrator.
* At this time of rampant Internet fraud, virus attacks, spam etc.,
Microsoft - as a protection measure - also provides similar restrictions
from within the browser (Internet Explorer) through Security Settings
or the way the browser is setup to treat "cookies" as well as from within
their latest Operating System (Windows XP).
* ISP providers have recently started blocking & filtering, although
they may deny it. We just found out that some ISP providers even block
the Standard HTTP ***Port 80*** which defeats the purpose of paying for
an ISP provider service in the first place.
* All these measures as good as they are offering us protection,
may nevertheless get in the way of the Registration process.
*****
Domains that usually block the Registration process:
.GOV
.ORG
.EDU
@earthlink.net
A good number of customers who are using Earthlink as their
ISP provider experience registration problems.
