Recon 50X - PC Compatibility

While the Recon 50X headset was originally designed to be used with an Xbox One console, it can also be used with a PC, under the correct circumstances.

If your computer has a single jack for both headset audio and mic audio, you will be able to plug the headset directly into that single jack and use the headset with your computer.

If your computer has separate jacks, one each for headset audio and mic audio, you will need a PC Splitter Cable for full functionality with that particular computer. Usually these separate jacks are identified either by color (Green/Pink), or by images of a mic/headset next to the individual jacks.

The PC Splitter Cable is available for purchase here on the Webstore.

Designed to work with Xbox one and only thing it doesnt work on is my Xbox one. Do not buy these headphones! my $10 chinese headset works and every other headset mic works but not these the only ones designed for xbox one and the mic works on PC the most stupidest thing I have ever seen.

Edit- Refrain from profanity please. ~Admin

If this works away from the xbox, then the headset itself would appear to be fine. The issue then may lie on the controller end or your setup.
Try another controller, but otherwise you may wish to swap it out.

I just purchased the Ear Force Recon 50x for my Xbox One.

But I want to use it on my PC.  I have an Omen 25" monitor that has the headset jack on the side of the monitor itself.  Will that also let me use my microphone to talk in-game?  Do I need a driver to do that?  Someone please help. <3
