Do you recommend keeping the headset on the charger like putting it back on every day when you're done playing or should you let the battery run down low before recharging it does this battery build up a memory

    @ Chris

Your headset should give you 10-15 hours of time depending on your use. Recharging itself only takes a few hours at most(from empty to full).

You can charge it when not in use, as it has its own feature to prevent overcharging(and thus wear down the battery). In general for any electronic device people suggest you let it deplete fully at least the first time or few times you use it.

I just recently bought this headset and I don't think it is charging properly. I plugged it in all night to the Xbox and when I woke up this morning the Xbox was still on but the light was still red on the headset. Is it supposed to change to green when it is fully charged?

Make sure to update your headset via the Audio Hub program. That should help clear up the light not turning over properly.

This is a visual bug only though, your headset is charging normally and you should be fine to use it.

The Xbox features a type of "always on" functions for its hardware. So when its put to sleep there is still a very basic level of activity and power running through the console. Your headset can charge from the console when it is in its sleep mode as a result.

my 600 headset isn't charging.  the light is always red.  I also could not update the firmware via my PC due to a "communication error".  is the headset defective?

    @ Neil

Most likely, the headset is fully charging, but the LED just isn’t changing color. If you try the update process with a different computer, are you able to update the headset? If so, you’ll want to contact our support team with the text of the error message you’re receiving; they’ll be happy to assist you with this.
