If you're only hearing sound from only one side of your XL1 headset:
First, double-check the connections between the Xbox AV cable and the headset's analog audio inputs (white and red RCA plugs). There should be no loose connections.
Now, please try this easy test:
- Connect the headset's USB plug to a USB port on your game console, PC, or a USB wall adapter.
- Connect the white and red audio input plugs at the end of the headset's main cable to the AUDIO OUT jacks on a CD, DVD, or Blu-ray player.
- Play a music track on the player.
- Turn up the headset's Game volume control.
If you hear audio playing through both sides of the headset, then your headset is working properly and the problem is likely a bad connection with the Xbox audio output jacks.
