Volume Level Regulations

All Turtle Beach headsets are designed to meet international SPL (Sound Pressure Level) regulations that govern how loud audio devices can be, in order to protect people's hearing. The perceived volume level may vary between different headsets based on their mechanical design and audio connection path.  Even though the level may seem to vary between models, our headsets are designed to the maximum allowable spec.

You may notice that when using a headset with your phone it is significantly louder than the Xbox One; that is because the phone itself is outputting at a much higher level. Many phones will give a warning the first time you turn up the volume to maximum alerting you to the fact that you may hurt your ears if you listen for an extended time at these levels.  The Xbox One prevents you from increasing beyond that level, instead of providing a warning.
